Dr. Emma George

PT, DPT
Physical Therapist

Dr. Emma grew up on Cape Cod, where she participated in dance classes and performed in live theatre throughout her childhood. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Massachusetts Lowell after completing dual bachelor’s degrees in Kinesiology and Dance at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Dr. Emma has extensive experience treating orthopedic and pelvic health conditions and spent several years working as a travel physical therapist in outpatient clinics throughout New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, and Washington.

Her own recovery from ACL reconstruction surgery gives her a personal understanding of the physical and emotional challenges that can come with rehabilitation.

In addition to orthopedic conditions, Dr. Emma specializes in pelvic health for cisgender female and male adults. She treats a wide range of conditions, including pelvic pain, bladder and bowel dysfunction, pregnancy and postpartum concerns, hip and low back pain, and core weakness. She is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based pelvic health care and expanding access to this underserved specialty.

“Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.” -Philo of Alexandria

Dr. Emma is a physical therapist who specializes in pelvic floor dysfunction and orthopedics.

Dr. Emma wants to fix symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction because these are difficult to discuss due to the surrounding stigma created by society. Although it may feel uncomfortable, it is important to discuss symptoms in the pelvis and the abdomen. There is no such thing as too much information (TMI), as it can be vital to our treatment plan to help you feel better.
