Erika is a dedicated wife and mother raised in upstate NY as the oldest of six
siblings. She received a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at Gordon College
before going on to complete her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at
Tufts University. While working as a professional occupational therapist she
pursued her passion for orthopedics by earning her Certificate of Hand and
Upper Extremity Rehabilitation from Drexel University.

Erika has been an OT for 19 years working as a travel Occupational Therapist
in a variety of settings across the country. After seven years of travel therapy
Erika took a job at Boston Children’s Hospital where she was an integral part
of the hand and upper extremity orthopedic team working alongside some of
the most prestigious pediatric hand surgeons in the world.

She has worked with patients of all ages and backgrounds ranging from
pediatric to adult with a variety of hand and upper extremity orthopedic
conditions such as congenital defects, various neurological conditions and
complicated post-op rehabilitation patients.

Erika is also a certified postpartum doula, perinatal nutrition educator,
breastfeeding counselor & prenatal yoga instructor. Having completed her
certifications through the International Doula Institute her main focus in this
area is on supporting mothers throughout pregnancy, birth, and beyond by
promoting safer and more effective practices through a holistic approach that
integrates the mind, body, and soul. She provides a wide range of techniques
to promote health and independence as well as methods to help clients
navigate the journey of pregnancy and parenthood.
