Kristina Deano
Insurance Verification and Authorization Specialist
From 2011 to 2023, she worked in a corporate and BPO environment, gaining valuable experience in customer service, account management, and operations. Over time, she felt the calling to pursue something closer to her heart — and that led her to the medical field.
Her passion for healthcare started long before her professional journey did. She had always dreamed of becoming a nurse or a physical therapist and spent years helping her parents process their medical claims. Her father, a retired U.S. Navy veteran, had his benefits under U.S. insurance providers, which gave her an early understanding of the U.S. healthcare system. That experience eventually became the foundation of her career as a medical virtual assistant and credentialing specialist.
Beyond work, she is a proud mother of an eight-year-old daughter and a fur mom to one dog and five cats. They remind her every day of patience, love, and balance — the same values she brings into her professional life.
She began her career in customer service, helping U.S. clients with their accounts, troubleshooting, and upgrades. It was her first real lesson in clear communication, patience, and genuine care for people.
Later, she moved into the financial services field, assisting clients with payments, credit checks, and account management. That experience taught her how to handle sensitive information with accuracy and empathy while keeping things organized and professional.
In time, she transitioned to a sales and support role for international customers, where she learned to adapt to different cultures and communication styles — something that has helped her connect easily with clients from all backgrounds.
By 2019, she made a meaningful shift into the healthcare field, supporting patients and providers with benefit verification, claims, and medical documentation. That’s where she found her passion for helping others and discovered how much she enjoys contributing to patient care behind the scenes.
Today, she specializes in medical virtual assistance and credentialing. She handles provider enrollments, benefit checks, and claims follow-ups — always focusing on accuracy, timeliness, and smooth communication to make sure every detail is taken care of.

Kristina specializes in medical credentialing, benefit verification, and claims management. In her role, she helps healthcare providers get properly enrolled with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans, ensuring compliance and accuracy throughout the process. She also handles claims follow-up, prior authorizations, and patient eligibility verification, making sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
Overall, what she does helps providers focus more on patient care while she takes care of the administrative and billing side — keeping things organized, compliant, and efficient.
One thing she has noticed patients often struggle with is the complexity and confusion of insurance and medical billing. Many patients don’t fully understand their coverage, benefits, or why certain claims are denied — and that can make an already stressful healthcare experience even harder.
With her background in medical credentialing, benefit verification, and claims follow-up, she wants to help fix that by making the process clearer, smoother, and more transparent. She believes patients deserve to focus on their health, not paperwork or billing issues. Her goal is to bridge that gap — by ensuring information is accurate, claims are handled correctly, and patients feel supported and informed every step of the way.
Kristina loves working here because she appreciates the supportive environment and how everyone values accuracy, communication, and compassion. It feels good to be part of a team that shares the same commitment to quality and truly cares about helping both providers and patients.
On weekends, she loves spending quality time with her family. Saturday dinners are usually with her in-laws — it’s their little tradition filled with good food and laughter. She also enjoys visiting churches, which gives her peace and time for reflection. Sundays are special too; her family and she feed stray animals in their community, something that brings them a lot of joy and fulfillment.
